Crime crackdown sees raid on Kettering's Highfield estate

A man was arrested after a drugs raid on Kettering's Highfield estate yesterday (Wednesday).
Police raided the home in Highfield Crescent by smashing through the doors at about 10.15am and seized a 'large quantity' of class A and class B drugs and cash from the address.

Hide AdThey were acting on community intelligence and one man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and class B drugs.
Inspector Rob Offord said: "Later on today we will be having PCSOs and police officers patrolling the area and also that's an opportunity for people to give intelligence and information to the police.
"They can do it through Crimestoppers if they want to remain anonymous or they can call in on 101, or of course they can submit it on the website.
"We really are reliant on community intelligence. We can't do this on our own. That is very important."

Hide AdThe raid was part of Northamptonshire Police's 100 days of intense policing activity across the county, focusing on the force’s current policing priorities including serious organised crime, sexual violence, domestic abuse, child exploitation and cuckooing.
