Graham Drury insists he still has total belief in his players – despite their poor start to the season.
The Steelmen have only taken one point from their first two games in the BGB Southern League Premier Division.

And Drury was furious with his players after they threw away a two-goal lead, courtesy of Steve Diggin, at Cambridge City on Monday night.

But, while he accepts the first results have been disappointing, he is adamant the team will come good.

"You have to look at the wider picture and I always said it was going to take five or six games for the team to gel and find it's best form," he said.

"Of course it's frustrating to see us play so well in one half at Cambridge and then lose it as we did.

"But even when we went two-up and I was feeling proud as punch on the bench, I knew that it was too early for us to be saying we'd got it all together.

"These things take a few games and we have to remember that.

"When it does come together, people will see what a good side we are.

"I believe in these players I've brought in.

"I believe in myself and my assistant Paul Holden and I believe in the way we are trying to play.

"We've got one point which should be six because we've led both games. But we now have to turn that around.

"People will look at the defence which has looked uncertain.

"But I know Rikki Baines and Mark Warren will form a good partnership and the back four will be a solid unit.

"It's not just about the defence though. We need to defend better as a team and we've worked on that this week in training, pressing the opposition and defending higher up the pitch.

"Stourbridge will be another big strong team who will be physical.

"But if we stick our gameplan and get the ball wide with pace, we will cause them plenty of problems."
