Hide AdTrain operator East Midlands Railway is cancelling services as two of the four lines are likely to remain closed for some hours. Those services that are able to run will be delayed by around 20 minutes between London St Pancras and Luton as engineers work on repairs.
An EMR spokesman said: "Network Rail are on site with a team of specialists who are currently working on repairing the overhead wires.
"To facilitate the closed lines we will cancel some of our trains on the London St Pancras/Nottingham/Sheffield routes throughout the morning. Trains that are able to run will run with delays.
"As soon as the problem is fixed our priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again."
