GCSEs: Southfield School, Kettering
They racked up an impressive set of grades and demonstrated progress significantly above national averages in core subjects including English and Maths where more than 75 per cent of students achieved grades A* to C. This represents a 12 per cent increase on performance in 2015.
Taken together with the fact that 90 per cent of students made at least three levels of progress in maths - with an impressive 55 per cent making four levels or more - this means that Southfield remains amongst the highest achieving schools in the country.
